Title: How to configure Windows clients to authenticate thru a linux ldap
Hi.
I'm using SAMBA + OpenLDAP also
but there are some plug-ins for win32
http://pgina.xpasystems.com/index.php
which are to be for direct LDAP auth
I've not tried it myself, so I don't know how it really works.

You should have a look at Samba
It can replace a NT4 PDC for the moment (that can authenticate W2k stations), and future versions (soon available I believe) will be able to replace an Active Directory domain controller

Objet : How to configure Windows clients to authenticate thru a linux ldap

Hi list,

Does anyone know how the initial user authentication on a Windows 2000 prof./server can be configured so that it points to an LDAP server instead of the domain controller for login authentication? The ldap server is running RH 9.0.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks,
