How to set OpenLDAP?

I am new on this, i would like to configure OpenLDAP to use as a centralized
Address Book for Outlook.
I have read all kind of docs, but its hard for me to understand it. I have
tested different configuration but it doesn't work.
Are there an example to use as a guide?
