newbie question - WebSphere 5.0 & OpenLDAP

Hello,

I want to get off of Domino's LDAP and stop using Notes as a user registry. 
I wanted to hear if 
a) there was anyone out there using OpenLDAP with Websphere 5.0
b) are there any gotchas with WS5.0
