v2.1.20 and Solaris 8 authentication

I've cobbled together what I believe to be an accurate Solaris schema for
2.1. So in trying to put together a working 2.1 database I am stuck on
adding the basic entries:

dn: dc=seagate,dc=com
objectclass: top
objectclass: dcObject
objectclass: nisDomainObject
dc: seagate
nisDomain: seagate.com

dn: ou=People,dc=seagate,dc=com
objectclass: top
objectclass: organizationalUnit
ou: People

I get the error:

adding new entry "dc=seagate,dc=com"
ldapadd: update failed: dc=seagate,dc=com
ldap_add: Object class violation (65)
        additional info: no structural object class provided

Can someone either point me to a better How-to, or point me in the correct
direction on why the entries are failing.
