For RH 7.2 you should have 2 CDs. You should find these rpms on one or both:
openldap12-1.2.12-4.i386.rpm
openldap-2.0.11-13.i386.rpm
openldap-clients-2.0.11-13.i386.rpm
openldap-devel-2.0.11-13.i386.rpm
openldap-servers-2.0.11-13.i386.rpm
nss_ldap-172-2.i386.rpm
Install them all. You'll have to have all the basic PAM stuff besides
Openldap, too.
When that's said and done, 2.0.11 is generally reckoned as being buggy
and old fashioned - but, it might be sufficient for what you need. In
the 2.0 series the latest is 2.0.27. Where you get the 2.0.27 rpms from
I wouldn't know. here's a helpful poster called Jehan PROCACCIA
<Jehan.Procaccia@int-evry.fr> who makes rpms and could perhaps help you,
but at the end of the day, getting used to compiling source code is a
much better solution.
The latest released version is 2.1.16 and you should, in the end, strive
toward the latest release ;)
Best,
Tony
