OpenLDAP: Fatal error when "make install"

I am still trying to build OpenLDAP on Solaris. 
Configure is OK, make depend seems to be OK, and make
seems to be fine, but at make install, I got the
following error message, can you help please?

Making install in /export/home/openldap-2.1.16/clients
  Entering subdirectory tools
../../build/shtool mkdir -p /usr/local/bin
../../build/shtool install -c -m 755 -s ldapsearch
/usr/local/bin/ldapsearch
../../build/shtool: strip: not found

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target
`install-local'
