You can find my RPMS of openldap 2.1.16 in:
 http://www.int-evry.fr/mci/user/procacci/SRPMS/
where there's a source rpm that can be recompile on any RH (maybe other 
dist ?) version: rpm --rebuild openldap-2.1.16-1.src.rpm
The binary packages are compile for RH 8.0 .
