Hi all,
Today at around 9am, my openldap v2.0.23 server died and refused to
start again where it had been working perfectly up until 9am.
Attempts to restart the server met with this error:
main: TLS init def ctx failed: 0
Upgrading to v2.0.27 made no difference. Eventually disabling the TLS
certificate allowed the server to restart.
There is nothing obviously wrong with the TLS certificate that I can see
- it has not expired (it is valid for ten years), and noone has touched
the certificate since it was installed. The time on the machine is correct.
Can anyone shed any light on why slapd should suddenly die and stay dead
for no apparent reason?
Regards,
Graham
