Hmm, we have a Linux SMP machine, which is used as a NIS
replacement. We had performance problems with sendmail lookups
for mailinglists.
with 2.1.6:
time /usr/lib/sendmail -bv stud|wc -l
669
real 1m23.492s
user 0m3.120s
sys 0m1.250s
with 2.0.23:
time /usr/lib/sendmail -bv stud|wc -l
669
real 15m57.138s
user 0m3.320s
sys 0m1.380s
