I suggest you consider 2.1.4.  It includes a change to
DN normalization which makes it easier to write DN
regexes.  Where 2.1.3 required escaping of Unicode
characters in regex, 2.1.4 requires they not be
escaped (except where RFC 2253 says they must be
escaped).

One approach is is not to use DN regexes, but use
