I tried to report this on friday, but it appears that the list was broken or something...I'm trying again. I'm running openldap 2.0.23 on linux and have discovered that my id2entry.gdbm is growing at a tremendous rate. Yesterday I dumped the database to an LDIF file and rebuilt the database. That got it down to 38,3341 bytes, but today it's already grown to 1,306,7104 bytes. From my backups, here are the sizes for the past month: -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 64781101 May 24 22:39 1022300952/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 69653813 May 25 23:00 1022387017/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 75731220 May 26 22:49 1022473689/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 83283859 May 27 22:57 1022559510/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 88840815 May 28 22:43 1022646650/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 94766175 May 29 23:06 1022732846/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 105071994 May 30 23:05 1022819373/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 109758397 May 31 23:07 1022906133/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 117154626 Jun 1 22:11 1022992018/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 126640693 Jun 2 22:59 1023078439/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 134704703 Jun 3 23:00 1023163918/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 136572510 Jun 4 22:37 1023250432/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 145033969 Jun 5 23:05 1023337823/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 154359788 Jun 6 22:29 1023424371/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 161993350 Jun 7 22:51 1023510442/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 173769116 Jun 8 23:01 1023597957/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 184667937 Jun 9 22:49 1023683219/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 192006187 Jun 10 23:11 1023770047/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 192006187 Jun 11 23:10 1023856358/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 196727441 Jun 12 16:49 1023943358/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 201432629 Jun 13 23:06 1024113615/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 218181792 Jun 15 22:28 1024202743/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 225679736 Jun 16 22:59 1024289288/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 234001219 Jun 17 22:34 1024375561/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 242383152 Jun 18 23:13 1024463632/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 250970845 Jun 19 23:07 1024547721/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 260148394 Jun 20 22:56 1024633604/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 265999129 Jun 21 23:04 1024720631/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 274011200 Jun 22 23:05 1024808100/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm -rw------- 1 ldap ldap 6220011 Jun 23 23:02 full/export/ldap/vircio-admin/id2entry.gdbm Is anyone else seeing this problem? Will an upgrade to 2.0.25 solve it?
