Re: userPassword?
If you have secure ACLs (and you should), you can only check user
passwords by binding to the directory as that user. In Graham Barr's
perl-ldap distribution the syntax is:
$msg = $ldap->bind($dn, password => "mypass", version => 3)
if ("mypass" ne "" && $msg->code == 0) { # the password is correct.
