I tkink that openldap is looking for in /usr/local/lib.
You should try:
env CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/include (your include)" \
LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.0/lib (your libs)" \
/usr/local/sbin/slapadd -n 1 -l base.ldif
Good luck,

Objet: slapadd can't find libdb
When I try -
# /usr/local/sbin/slapadd -n 1 -l base.ldif
I get -
/usr/local/sbin/slapadd: fatal: libdb-4.0.so: open failed: No such file
or directory.
libdb-4.0.so is in /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.0/lib, do I need to tell
slapadd how to localte it? If so how? By the way I'm trying this on
Solaris 8 x86. Thanks for the help.
