Integrating DHCP into LDAP has a key advantage in leasing ranges of IP
address based on authentication. For example if you have a group of PCs
within your organisation that require a different range of IP and lease
times you can state on a MAC level search that these PCs can get  a
restricted level of service.

You may have cable modems that require a level of service on bandwidth,
depending on the authentication you can limit bandwidth on the bootfile
returned in a dhcp response to the devices MAC address based on
authentication.

In answering your question, there are great advantages of integrating DHCP
or other network devices. Refer to the subject on Directory Enabled
