help for ldap server

hi all,

i want to configure the ldap server on linux to lookup address  for the 
windows email clients.
I am using default configuration slapd.conf file in /etc/openldap/.
how i can configure the server for looking address of emails.
If any one configured this please give the details about that .
I am facing some problems in adding email ids.
I am new to this so please help me.
IF any body configured for netscape it will be helpful to me.
