you may not have the DN initially created or something like that. But
without too much detail its hard to assume. Wyy don't you run slapd in debug
mode, then upload your ldif and see what it does not like.

I've got a large ldif file that has all correct
mappings .. but when I add it via ldap_add, it adds
only the first entry (no exit or error messages or
anything)

Where did I go wrong?
