ACL FAQ and ACI

Hi,

I am trying to use ACI but some of parts of the BNF description seems very
dark for me :

- What doest the "role" dn type means in the following ?
< dnType > ::= "access-id" | "role" | "group" | "self"
- Is the subjectDN important when the precised dn type is "self" ?
- Because of the explanation given in the faq, should the BNF of the right
not be the following ?
< right > ::= <action > + [ ';' + <permissions> + ';' +  <attrs> ] +

May be someone could help me ?
