deferring operation

Hi,

I have a central ldap server which has around 18 lac records in it . This server
suddenly hangs without responding. All applications connecting to this server
hangs.

All what i get in the log messages is " deferring operation "... what does this
mean ?

Can someone help me on this ??.. log messages given below ...
