Outlook and openldap

Hello all,

I have a silly question now, it is, Does MS Outlook work with openldap. As
my main reason for using openldap is to provide a central email address
book. But i have just seen messages on google that say that Outlook only
talks to ms exchange servers and servers like four11 for ldap and nothing
else. Is this true?

If so i have become majorly stuck!

Also in which case is there any utils which can be installed on win clients
so that Outlook will integrate with openldap?

Please help somebody!
