you have to #define SLAPD_MULTIMASTER 1
in [source-base]/ldap/include/portable.h.in (before configure)
or [source-base]/ldap/include/portable.h (after configure)
to enable this feature.
I've not found true documentation
but you can grep MULTIMASTER in sources
to get more info.
I think that this add is there to prevent a loop between master and slave
by a test on the updater DN.
