Hi all,
I announced 1 week ago the beginning of a project called EasyLDAP, a
dynamic library providing a simple API over OpenLDAP, offering
convenients functions to make LDAP-aware programs.
The thing have grown well and I have now some usable programs that may
need improvements.
One of the goals was to provide syscalls wrappers for OSes that do not
support nss/pam-ldap, so we can authenticate over LDAP, and this is mostly
done. I've written a *simple* pam_eldap module ( quickly adapted from
FreeBSD's pam_unix ), and a short FreeBSD oriented howto, showing the
general idea.
It also have lots of simple functions to search, modify, add, delete
items, entries and such from an LDAP database.
I hope you'll find it useful, you can find all infos at :
http://www.easyldap.org
Truely yours,
