Ldapdelete - ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such attribute
hi all,
I have tried adding some entries using ldapaddd.
Ldapsearch gives me the following result:-
$ ldapsearch -x -b 'dc=ubm,dc=com,dc=edu'
'(objectclass=*)'
#
# filter: (objectclass=*)
# requesting: ALL
#
# ubm, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu
dn: dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu
objectClass: dcObject
objectClass: organisation
dc: ubm
# Admin, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu
dn: cn=Admin, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu
objectClass: organizationalRole
cn:: TWFuYWdlciA=
# xyz, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu
dn: cn=xyz, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu
objectClass: organizationalRole
cn:: eHl6IA=
# Abc, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu
dn: cn=Abc, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu
objectClass: organizationalRole
cn:: TWFuYWdlciA=
# search result
search: 2
result: 0 Success
# numResponses: 5
# numEntries: 4
$
If after this i try to delete one of the entries that
i have entered
say "xyz" using the ldapdelete command it result in
giving me
"ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such attribute"
error.
$ ldapdelete -D "cn=Manager, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu"
-W "cn=
xyz"
Enter LDAP Password:
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such attribute
$
I also tried to delete it in the following way
$ ldapdelete "cn=xyz, dc=ubm, dc=com, dc=edu"
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such attribute
$
But still it gives me the same error
Is there something wrong in the syntax of the
ldapdelete command?
pls do help.
thanxs
Lin s
