RE: how to delete records?
See
http://www.openldap.org/software/man.cgi?query=ldapdelete&apropos=0&sektion=
0&manpath=OpenLDAP+2.0-Release&format=html
Also, there is a book that I have not read, but is supposed to be a good
overview of LDAP. See
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1578700701/qid=995909862/sr=2-1/ref=a
ps_sr_b_1_1/002-4421478-9090450, though you'll find better prices at
www.bookpool.com.

Subject: how to delete records?
This morning I brought my openldap daemon down, backed up its files, and
added about 80k records by using the unique file names on my unix box as
userIDs. How do I delete some of these 'accounts' without pulling out my
backup and going back to the beginning? I've searched openldap.org and I
can't
find a single metion of how to delete something.
I am still, btw, looking for a thick book to read about LDAP.
