Hi, I will take a look at the article...it does look interesting, but I agree that it is not a very good solution. I was wondering if this problem is caused by one of Microsofts usual protocol violations or if it is a problem with the OpenLDAP server? /Michael Schacht Hansen -----Original Message----- From: Jeanette Greeff - MWeb Sent: to 28-06-2001 10:21 To: Michael Schacht Hansen Cc: openldap-software@OpenLDAP.org Subject: RE: Schemes invisible Hi We have the same problem. I found an interesting link in the mailing archives. There is a possible workaround by setting properties of your data fields on the Microsoft side. This may help... http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q251/1/95.ASP I would prefer a better solution though. When I try to retrieve one of the custom attribues with the ADSI, I get an error like this: The Active Directory datatype cannot be converted to/from a native DS datatype It sees the attribute, but is unable to read the scheme. If I list ldap://server/scheme through ADSI only the attributes and classes from the core sheme are listed. Any ideas? /Michael -----Original Message----- From: Kurt D.
