RE: Books on LDAP

I quite agree on the book "Understanding and Deploying LDAP Directory
Services" that it's philosophical. It was the first book I read and I
can say that it was not an easy read for a beginner like me.

Another book on LDAP I find quite helpful is "Implementing LDAP" by Mark
Wilcox. After reading this one, I learned to appreciate better the book
"Understanding and Deploying..." and found it to be a very good book
afterall.

If you're interested on implementing LDAP on Solaris, the book "Solaris
and LDAP Naming Services" by Tom Bialaski and Michael Haines maybe the one
for you. But again, you can simply read the blueprints posted online in
sun.com/blueprints regarding LDAP and I'd say you have more than 50% of
the book given away. Well, the advantage of getting book is to read it
all in one setting and better organization. :) Couple of links had been
very helpful:
