Hi John,
Netscape normally contacts the LDAP-server on opening the addressbook and
queries a special DN which OpenLDAP doesn't have. I think it's called
DSE-entry. To avoid this change your prefs.js
lock_pref("ldap_2.servers.YOUR_LDAP_SERVER_NAME.vlvDisabled", true);
