Hi!
I have a LDAP-client (v3) that adds control
"1.2.840.113556.1.4.473 - LDAP Server Sort Result extension" in the
Searchrequest.
slapd (ver 2.0.7) replies: "Unavailable
critical extension (0x0c).
After a bit of digging I found a post from :
Ingo Luetkebohle <ingo@devconsult.de dated
Sun, 01 Aug 1999:
" which controls does OpenLDAP support (if any)? is there a
list of oids
available? And the answer from Kurt:
OpenLDAP 1.x implements LDAPv2+
and hence supports no controls.
OpenLDAP 2.0 (under development) supports LDAPv3 (and LDAPv2+). It currently supports one control, ManageDsaIT (2.16.16.840.1.113730.3.4.2). Development of other controls is encouraged. Kurt " Is this still the case?
Or is the Sort Result Control extension to be added
in a near future?.
It is quite critical for me as I'm developing a
piece of software that will communicate with this ldap-client (actually a
complete app. which got a ldap client in it...)
If not, can anyone give me a hint of any
ldap-server which possibly recognizes this? (running on Linux...)
Regards
Bjarne
