userPassword field in OpenLDAP
Hi,
Could anyone explain once and for all what should be the value of
userPassword?
In case of native authentication, it should be the hashed password (MD5 or
SHA1). That works fine for me.
But for external SASL authentification (GSSAPI or other), what should be the
value of this parameter?
Should it be completely removed? Or should it be set dependently of the
mechanism used?
