starting openldap
trouble reading in ldif file with ldapaddi've just managed to upgrade the
rh7 installed openldap v1.2.11 to openldap 2.0.7. however, when slapd
auto-startup upon pc boot up, it will start with "slapd -u ldap", which
makes ldapsearch return no result. i've to manually kill and restart it with
slapd so that search will be ok. is starting slapd as "ldap" user really
necessary. how can i make slapd start each time without the "-u ldap"
option. thanks.
