RE: UTF-8 ?? Correction

But in this case, how can I check if a server or an entry or a value is an
UTF-8 format ?

converted?  When using LDAPv3: If you put UTF-8 in,
you should get UTF-8 out.  The API does no conversion,
the servers should no conversion.

You should:
  1) make sure all clients are using LDAPv3
  2) make sure all clients are using UTF-8
