Kurt,

My patch is a very simple workaround for the solaris nis ldap client.  I
do not believe that the current LDAP v3 specification allows for such
functionalty, so I am not sure that it needs to be considered for the
integration.  If you think otherwise, I'd be happy to discuss the
integration.  We can also move this discussion to the developer's mailing
list.
