reading the rootDSE...

I have downloaded OpenLDAP 1.2.11 version.

I can read the directory (ldapsearch -h 10.7.0.22 -p 389 -b "dc=IMC,
dc=org", "objectclass=*" -W -v)
without any problems but I experience some problems reading the rootDSE
(namingContexts attribute)
"Root DN has no entries"

Can someone give me some hints?
