Server running but...
Hi again:
I finally got slapd to run. Thanks too all. I've gotten a bit further but
ran into another wall. I'm trying to load the initial structure like so:
ldapadd -D "cn=admin,dc=beth,dc=k12,dc=pa,dc=us" -W -f
/etc/openldap/hierarchy.ldif
but I get
ldap_bind: no such object
I checked the FAQ and everything seems in order. The password entered is
correct, the DN in the ldapadd command matches that in the slapd.conf. The
rootDN is subordinate to the suffix in the conf file (I think).
Here is my slapd.conf file:
#
include /etc/openldap/slapd.at.conf
include /etc/openldap/slapd.oc.conf
schemacheck off
#referral ldap://root.openldap.org/
pidfile /var/run/slapd.pid
argsfile /var/run/slapd.args

suffix "dc=beth, dc=k12, dc=pa, dc=us"
rootdn "cn=admin, dc=beth, dc=k12, dc=pa, dc=us"
rootpw mysecret
