I would like to add information about a number of students to
OpenLDAP. Before I went about doing this, I inserted about
10,000 random entries to measure the execution time of search
queries. Unfortunately, it takes an enormous amount of processing
power and time to lookup a single entry from that base with
10,000 entries. What tips can be given to optimize this for better
performance?
