FYI, I am trying to implement OpenLDAP with Samba and need the compiled libraries and includes inorder to compile samba w/ ldap support. Even if I run the configure script with no switches/selections, I get numerous errors. Also, what changes need to be made to the ldapconfig.h.edit file?

Subject: RE: Compile Errors?
Sorry, left out some info:
I am compiling openldap 1.2.3 with
./configure --prefix=/ --enable-dns --enable ldapd
This happens with either the 1.2.3 SRPM from redhat contrib or the new version, 1.2.6. Does not test, etc...

Subject: Compile Errors?
Hello,
I am new to Linux and want to implement OpenLDAP. I am using Red Hat Linux Intel 6.0 to compile the new sources but am having no luck. It always fails the test and after reading config.log, I see a lot of "No such file or directory" errors when configure accesses includes. I also see an error which states "/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/ldap/configure:2883: undefined reference to 're-search'. Anyone compile OpenLDAP successfully on RH 6.0? Any help is appreciated.
