RE: newbie Q: what to start?

After I followed the guide
(http://www.umich.edu/~dirsvcs/ldap/doc/guides/slapd/2.html), I ran this
command:
# ldapsearch -h 127.0.0.1 'objectclass=*'

but, that gave an error message:
ldap_search: DSA is unwilling to perform

what does that mean? What should I do?

Thanks,
Edi

download the SLAPD Administration guide and read it. It's the best
thing
out there for SLAPD. It was written for the U-M 3.3 server but it's
pretty
much 99% the same thing as OpenLDAP. You can find a link to it in
the
	OpenLDAP FAQamatic pages....
