Error when ADDing entries
Hi,
We are running the SLAPD from Openldap version 1.02 on Solaris 2.6. This is
a slave server receiving replication data from a central server. One day we
noticed in the log that records ADDs always fails, and we traced the
beginning of the problem to the following log entry:
Jan 26 20:20:39 ldap-ofi slapd[241]: conn=1 op=5 SRCH base="o=fin,c=us"
scope=1 filter="(objectclass=*)"
Jan 26 20:20:39 ldap-ofi slapd[241]: next_id -1: cannot fgets nextid from ""
Jan 26 20:20:39 ldap-ofi slapd[241]: conn=1 op=5 RESULT err=0 tag=101
nentries=13
After that all ADDs come back with the error message in the following log
entry:
Jan 26 22:41:57 ldap-ofi slapd[235]: conn=4 op=10 ADD dn="cn=Mick Howard
165595,ou=employee,o=FIN,c=US"
Jan 26 22:41:57 ldap-ofi slapd[235]: entry cn=Mick Howard
165595,ou=employee,o=FIN,c=US id 1 already in id cache
Jan 26 22:41:57 ldap-ofi slapd[235]: cache_add_entry_lock failed
Jan 26 22:41:57 ldap-ofi slapd[235]: conn=4 op=10 RESULT err=68 tag=105
nentries=0
The entry in question was not added. Can somebody explain what happened and
a way to resolve this matter? Your help would be much appreciated. In the
mean time, MODifications and DELetion of entries proceed normally.
Thanks and regards,
