Re: Public Email Address Books
There is a open source project using PHP to build a public address book, maintained by users. The project is called "Rolodap" and is at:
http://rolodap.sourceforge.net/
The initial effort was for an internal employee directory maintained by employees and I think that is where the CVS tree is at. However, there has been a lot of development work on expanding it to a "contacts" address book. That work should shortly be reflected in the CVS tree, and a .1 release of the code probably around the first of the year.
I also hope to have a demo up about that time.
If you are interested in contributing -- code, ideas, writing help screens, or debugging --- let the project know.
Regards,
John Lederer
