Well.. seeing that SIMS already includes its own LDAP service,
why would you want to replace it?  I currently use the SIMS
LDAP server whenever I need LDAP since it reduces the complexity
of having to maintain different either vendors or multiple
server instances.

Anyways, not exactly technically perfect, but I suppose you
get what I'm trying to say... not that it's wrong to use anything
else... just do what works.  And.. uh.. nope I don't know if
you can change the underlying LDAP service.
