LSB inclusion of OpenLDAP

Hi,

The LSB is considering inclusion of OpenLDAP libraries.
Working towards that , we need to know - 

- Is there ABI compatibilty between existing (stable) versions ?
- Are there any proposed changes of ABI in the forthcoming versions.
