openldap 2.x and the dreaded missing matching rules question

Hi!

I tried searching the incredible Faq-o-Matic and the archives for a
satisfying answer to the question where/when some of the missing
matching rules - namely caseIgnoreListMatch and
caseIgnoreListSubstringsMatch (are most important for me right now) -
will be available?

I dont want to step on anyones toes, but is there a specific reason
besides "we didn't really have the time yet" that these are not yet
implemented?

If it's "just" the time problem, and nobody is currently working on this
and a patch would be accepted, i'll stop whining right here and try to
code up and contribute a patch.
