Ahh, I see. Of course, you are right. The ACLCache structure itself is a 
relic from first experiments with a longer lived cache (that I gave up rather 
soon).

Actually I considered the submitted code more a proof of concept that really 
production ready code. If the whole idea is considered as a good thing I can 
rework the stuff to make it more beautiful (and more stable)...
