Brief Description of backend routines

Hi!
	Could someone post a description of the various routines a backend must
implement?
	I have the Administrators manual, but it does´nt specify the what should
the routines do... (though some a pretty self explanatory).

	The list I have is this:
		- bind
		- unbind
		- compare
		- search
		- modify
		- modifyrdn
		- add
		- delete
		- abandon
		- init
		- config
		- close
