1.3 will include many major enhancements and bug fixes while
maintaining the 1.x LDAP API (the slapd backend API, though,
may change). I delayed this integration until all the -devel
fixes where in place and reasonably tested. I am fairly
comfortable with building 1.3 with today's -devel, but won't
have time to work on it right away. Due to 1.x LDAP API req't,
it's about a 40 hour task to build 1.3alpha.

I suspect the next release will actually be 1.2.2 and will include
a number of minor fixes (threading locking changes are not minor).
I'm currently waiting on a couple of key patches before constructing
this. I suspect this will be released before the end of the month.
