According to the documentation, this directive collects messages that are
sent to stderr when "-d" is used, so it is not related to syslog.  It is
equivalent to

$ slapd -d <level> >>/var/log/ldap.log 2>&1

I've checked recent code and it works as expected.  Unless this is what
you're expecting, and it does not happen, this ITS will be closed.
