Back-relay wants to find the relayed database while parsing the "relay"
directive; however, if back-relay is instantiated as subordinate, the relayed
database might not exist yet, or it might just not show up because subordinated
as well.  The issue can be worked around by not defining a relay directive. 
However, a simple fix appears to consist in deferring relayed database lookup.
