While exploring the rewrite-Features, I came across the "rwm-rewriteMap" -
configparameter descriped in Manpage "slapo-rwm" (resp. "rewriteMap" in
"slapd-meta"):
"
rwm-rewriteMap <map type> <map name> [ <map attrs> ]
              Allows  to define a map that transforms substring rewriting into
	      something else.  The map is referenced inside  the  substitution
	      pattern of a rule.
"
In theses manpages, a single example with <map type> "ldap" is presented and
explained.

I would suggest to enhance the relevant Manpages to give information about
further maptypes, and maybe to give more information about the "ldap"-maptype,
if there are features not covered by the example.

Personally I would be thankful if you provide me with this information (or hints
where to search) directly (maybe by answering by mail), if an update of the
Manpages fails to appear or has a significant delay.
