OK, I've checked and it seems to be fixed in HEAD but not in re23;
apparently the last round of fixes couldn't be applied to re23 in time
for 2.3.21 and will need to wait for the next bugfix release.

I'll apply the changes to re23 in a moment; please test them at your
convenience.
