HEAD doesn't build right now (ITS#4258) so I'll have to wait and try to
reproduce it there.
I'm using gcc 3.3.1 on Solaris 8 (I hopefully will get to 3.4.4 over
Christmas break). I assume it is using glibc's regex library.
