There are some issues/assumptions in this script:
1)That there is only one database, and that it is bdb/hdb
2)configuration testing can be done while slapd is running, and to me it ma=
kes=20
more sense to test the configuration file *before* stopping slapd (in the=20
restart switch), and to not stop slapd if configuration testing fails.=20
Testing it just before it is going to be tested anyway by slapd has no=20
additional benefit IMHO, whereas testing it before=20
(I haven't added config testing to the mandriva init script yet, but I will=
=20
add it that way instead).
BTW, the Mandriva init script may be of use, especially for (1):
http://cvs.mandriva.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/SPECS/openldap/ldap.init
I may have missed some other issues (and I preferred to have seperate scrip=
ts=20
for dealing with transaction logs, scripts are also available in the same c=
vs=20
location).
